Light translates to God. As He lights my path, we take on each new day that comes. When I fail to acknowledge this ever-present Light, life gets messy and dark. Being full of Light blesses me to love more deeply and see glory in every situation.

The lyrics to Awake My Soul (above) by Mumford and Son's resonate so loudly in my heart. Knowing that M&S are believers, I searched for the origin of these words and found myself right in the middle of the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew 6: 21-23 reads... "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!"
