My closest friends and family know that I come from two families that embody the southern lifestyle. Butter means better and made from a box is simply a sin. My closest family and friends also know that by the time I was a teenager my parents had given up hope that I would be the one to carry on this southern comfort charm. However, the sweet tea ran deeper than they realized. With a love of baking and hours spent mesmerized by the Food Network, I stepped into the kitchen to give my hand at the stove.
For five years now, my love for cooking, good food, and discovering new local restaurants has flourished. I definitely consider myself a foodie and am wanting to share that love with you. I am starting nursing school at Belmont University in the fall and am planning to cook my way through school, so to speak. The Lord has blessed me with the passion of service, so it is through nursing and cooking that I am able to live out that gift.
